Duo therapy

Sessions for two: relationship therapy and support for parents, fully online.

What is duo therapy?

Duo therapy is for couples, or for a parent and child, who get stuck in their communication, run into conflict or want to work on a better dynamic together. In the sessions there are three of us: the two of you, and me as your guide.

The aim is not to find someone to blame, but to gain insight into the patterns that affect your relationship. By recognising those patterns and breaking them, room opens up for more understanding, connection and cooperation.

Who is duo therapy for?

  • Recurring conflict in your relationship
  • Communication problems between partners
  • A breach of trust or infidelity
  • Parenting stress and questions about raising children
  • Conflict between parent and child
  • Getting through a difficult period together
  • Relationship patterns you want to break

How does it work?

After a joint intro call comes an intake session in which I talk the situation through with both of you. Sometimes I also schedule individual conversations, so that I understand each of your perspectives properly.

The sessions are online and last 60 minutes. We work with methods from systemic therapy, solution-focused therapy and schema therapy. A programme runs 6 to 18 sessions on average, depending on the situation.
